For those of you who know me well, you know that my mother and I (who also happens to be my best friend) started on a journey a little over two years ago. One thing you should know about us, we love to shop, and we love clothing, not in a frivolous way, but in the way where we appreciate craftsmanship, design, and everything to do with fashion. She came to me one day, and we have toyed with the idea over drinks many times, where she started listing off items she felt was missing from her wardrobe, and we often would send items we liked back and forth via text, but ultimately came to the conclusion each time, this product was too expensive for what it is. My mom, bear in mind, has been an avid designer collector for over 30 years now, so she knows a thing or two about quality, longevity of items, and design. I myself, have worked in the fashion industry for the past four+ years, so when we found we no longer felt the need or want to purchase clothing at the price in which designer items come in, we then turned to ourselves and said “why don’t we just make it ourselves?” So we did. And yes, we can agree, the world doesn't need just "any other" new fashion brand, so here’s a little about us.
POV, it’s 2020 pandemic in full swing, I am living in NYC and my mother decides to make to bold leap and move to Italy, to the region of Puglia to be exact, a gorgeous southern part of Italy (in the heel of the boot), that is not overrun by tourists and build herself a home there. As many know, when traveling abroad, namely to Italy, France, etc. these are the places in which you find the hidden gems, the small town one-of-a-kind stores that produce in the same quality as your favourite designers, usually because they are either the ones who run the factory or have access to the same materials as them. This we had known for many years, but the reality of my mother living where unique and well-made clothing was accessible, really drove it home for us.

About us:
For the past 2 years we have been working closely with mills, factories, and pattern-makers to create unique yet wearable white shirting for women that are made from the highest quality cotton and hand-crafted in Portugal by a small batch factory. We knew we didn’t want just any white shirting, and found ourselves gravitating towards asymmetrical sleeves with shapes that range from billowing to overly long and narrow, with shirting silhouettes that range from slim to cocooned. Our shirts are not meant to be dry cleaned, for a few reasons: 1. dry cleaning is expensive and uses harmful chemicals, 2. the chemicals they use in dry cleaning actually hinder the longevity of the fabrication, 3. a white shirt is going to get dirty more often than other things and we don’t have the time or bandwidth to take things that often to the dry cleaners, so why should you?
Anteros epitomizes everyday luxury, focusing on exceptional fabrics, unique details, and thoughtful tailoring. The house marries timeless elegance with daring creativity, pushing boundaries in design. Blending exquisite Italian fabrics with a relaxed, innovative lifestyle, our collections offer high-end versatility that effortlessly complements any wardrobe. Our mission is to deliver shirts of unmatched value, adorned with distinctive touches, celebrating beauty while promoting well-being through certified organic fabrics and fibers. All priced at $275, our fabrications are from an Italian mill of extremely soft and luxurious organic cotton, the same quality as your favourite designer shirts, without the markup.
The goal:
Create well crafted, uniquely designed, and high-quality shirts that aren’t thousands of dollars. Have you ever noticed men can go to pretty much a store/designer and they are fairly certain to find a well fitting white shirt, while that is rarely the case for women. Either the buttons don’t accommodate for a female chest, the quality will wilt within the first wear, or simply they just didn’t make any that season. A fair amount of my button downs are actually from the mens department of designers because they have spent time on the fit over the years. We spent countless hours perfecting shape and landed on 5 styles we believe fit into every wardrobe seamlessly.
